I. ALL DISASTERS ARE MAN-CAUSED
“All calamities, epidemics, all sorts of disease among humans and animals, bad weather, lean and unproductive years, devastating hailstorms, great, all-destructiv¬e floods, gales, great storms, locust-plagues and suchlike are merely consequences of the wrong actions of men. If men were, as far as possible, living within the given order, they would not have to expect any of these things. The years would pass by like pearls on a string, one as blessed as the next, and the habitable part of the earth would never be afflicted by too much cold or too much heat.”

So that such a soul does not completely perish in its flesh, it must be separated from it with great force, which then causes considerable pain in the body. This is of benefit to the soul, since through its pains and suffering it is cleansed of its fleshly desires and can progress more easily and safely in the beyond on the pathway to spiritual life. Completely worldly people who do not believe in a God, yet enjoy a healthy life right to their ripe old age and, finally, have also a quick and painless death, have received their life’s reward already in this world and can hardly ever expect any reward in the beyond.”
